Hear ye, hear ye!

Welcome, noble gentles, to the 2025 auditions for the Kearney Park Renaissance Faire! As we embark on another grand season of revelry and history, we are thrilled to announce auditions for His Majesty, King Henry VIII, and his Queen. The identity of the Queen will be determined based on the age and suitability of the chosen actor. This is a unique opportunity to step into the grandeur of the Tudor court and bring history to life with authenticity, presence, and regal command.

What We Seek

We are in search of dedicated performers who can fully embody these historical roles with poise, charisma, and a commitment to historical accuracy. This is a multi-year commitment (typically a three-year contract rotation), and those cast must be prepared to serve as the King and Queen for the duration of their term.

Audition Requirements

King Henry VIII: Applicants must perform the provided monologue and deliver an impromptu toast fit for a Yuletide celebration.
Queen: Applicants must perform the provided monologue with grace and presence.
NO GARB ALLOWED. You must be in plain clothing, so we do not judge based on garb alone.

Commitment & Expectations

Those chosen for these esteemed roles must:

Attend every day of the Kearney Park Renaissance Faire, including School Day.
Participate in the Twelfth Night Celebration and any additional events organized by the production team (with appropriate notice).
Provide their own period-correct attire, ensuring authenticity and historical accuracy.

Audition Timeline & Submission

Auditions Open: February 14, 2025
Auditions Close: March 15, 2025
Submission Format: Auditions will be submitted via the Two Fayre Ladies website only and reviewed by the Kearney Production Team.
Location: Record your audition in a setting where you feel comfortable and confident before submitting online.

Additional Casting Opportunities

Beyond the primary roles of the King and Queen, we will also be casting understudies and selecting high-ranking members of the court based on audition performances. If you are open to an alternate noble role, please indicate your interest.
